PM Urges Teachers and Students to Strengthen Research

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Manet celebrated Teacher’s Day by visiting the Cambodian Institute of Technology, where he was met with several exhibition booths displaying the creative and technical projects of the school’s students and teachers, who compiled much of their work into books. The PM was pleased with what he saw and encouraged them to continue their endeavors for the sake of the nation.

"Do not be afraid to invest in the work of making such products,” he said. “Do not be afraid to invest in people to create results for our country. I am happy that students and teachers have researched and compile more than 1,000 books."

The PM encouraged students to read a lot and recognize the importance of research, while urging teachers to strengthen their teaching and research skills as well. He said that the government shows its support for teachers who pass the pedagogical exams by increasing their salaries.

The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to improve the quality of education, especially in grades K-12.
